This short course will introduce you to the basics of cybersecurity in a simple and easy-to-understand way. It is designed to help you learn what cybersecurity means, why it is important, and how to stay safe online. This course is also a good first step if you are thinking about moving on to a Level 1 Cybersecurity qualification.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:
Understand what cybersecurity is and why it is important
Recognise common online threats, such as scams, phishing, and viruses
Learn simple ways to protect yourself and your information online
Explore how organisations keep their systems and data safe
Learn about basic laws linked to cybersecurity, including GDPR
Gain a basic understanding of cybersecurity
Feel more confident protecting yourself online
Be prepared to move on to a Gateway Level 1 Cybersecurity course
