Description:
This course is suitable for complete beginners as well as learners with some previous experience in garment making. You will learn how to:
1. Operate a sewing machine and overlocker safely and effectively
2. Cut and prepare fabric accurately using commercial patterns
3. Design, create, and adapt patterns, including tracing from original templates
4. Construct your own garments, such as pyjama tops and bottoms
5. Apply embroidery techniques using a sewing machine
6. Interpret and follow more complex patterns (for more advanced learners)
You will also be encouraged to personalise, adapt, and design your own creative work.
