This very relaxing course will increase your understanding of Mindfulness and how to use arts and crafts as a tool to support your wellbeing. Bringing Arts & crafts into your life can help with negative thoughts, pain and defuse the stress which daily life can cause. Using Mindful craft techniques can also help when preparing for stressful situations.
Learners wishing to take this course may have already completed the Therapeutic Art course, although this is not necessary. During this course, you will learn about Mindfulness and Crafts and what it can do for you. Each week you will take part in a range of Mindful craft activities such as jewellery making, beaded pen making, glass painting, acrylic painting, watercolour painting, scratch art, sun-catchers, seasonal decorations, keyrings, mandalas.
By the end of the course, I will be able to:
" Understand how Mindful crafts can be beneficial for my health and wellbeing.
" Use a range of craft techniques to aid mental health and wellbeing.
" Use a range of crafts including jewellery making, beaded pen making, glass painting, acrylic painting, watercolour painting, scratch art, sun-catchers, seasonal decorations, keyrings, mandalas to better deal with stressful situations.
" Experience a range of mindful meditations including a drawing meditation.
" Discuss/experience other areas of mindfulness including mindful eating, mindful walking, relaxation techniques etc.
