By the end of the course, you will be equipped to:
Explain some key programming terms such as variables, sequencing, loops, and conditions.
Use the Scratch coding interface to create and edit projects.
Create basic animations and games using graphic-based coding tools and blocks.
Identify and fix errors in code.
You can further develop your programming skills by continuing onto Further Coding Skills and Programming: Taking The Next Step (Level 2) courses.
This course is for those learners who are enrolling on First Steps in Programme Level 1.
Upon completion, you can further enhance your programming skills by continuing onto Further Coding Skills alongside Programming Level 2. You can continue your coding journey beyond the level 2 by pursuing advanced courses at college, university or specialised coding boot camps, where you can develop specific skills tailored to industry needs.
