By the end of the course, you will meet the following learning outcomes:

An introduction into the Volunteering Passport which includes:
" Volunteer health and safety
" Data Protection for Volunteers
" The importance of Safeguarding
" How to use the online Bury Volunteer Bank
Understand the benefits of woodland:
" Recognise ways that green spaces can improve well-being.
" List ways you could personally improve the environment.
" List strengths and weaknesses of self.
" Match strengths and weaknesses to a volunteering opportunity within the community.
" Describe the advantages and disadvantages of volunteering.
" Work as a team on a volunteering project and note what went well and what if anything could be improved which will include:
" tree pruning, sustainable crafts, campfires and hots drinks on an orchard. Planting seeds for food and general gardening at an allotment
" joining a gardening group to grow food and brash fencing.
