Bury has a growing digital and creative sector, digital skills has been identified as one of the key skills needed for residents to be able to access these jobs. This introductory course aims to develop your digital skills to the principles of computer programming and how programming works, whilst working towards a qualification.
You will learn basic theory relating to programming, learn to think logically and problem solve. You will apply these skills and knowledge to develop graphic-based programming skills to design and develop their own computer program.
You will be learn to:
Describe the application of logic in programming.
Identify different programming languages.
State the main differences between graphic-based and text-based programming languages.
Outline programming requirements.
Produce design documentation.
Develop a program using a graphic-based programming language.
Test a program for functionality, making refinements where necessary.
Create documentation for the program.
Review how well the program meets the client brief, making suggestions for further improvements.
