This course will develop and increase your existing English skills by helping you to improve your verbal and written communication skills and enable you to become more confident in reading for everyday purposes. We will look at words and texts used in everyday life. This could include things such as shopping lists, labels, symbols and instructions on packaging, signs and information in shops, transport timetables, TV listings, headings and tabs on websites, messages in emails and in greetings cards.
By the end of the course, I will be able to:
More confidently join in conversations and group discussions
Correctly convey information from street & road signs/shop signs
Recognise and record the letters of the alphabet in upper and lower case
Use capital letters and full stops in short sentences
Expand on my reading ability
Recognise an increasing number of common everyday words
Form simple words
