Description:
This course will suit learners of all abilities from absolute beginners to those who wish to extend their existing patchwork, quilting and appliqué skills. You will be introduced to current trends and methods of constructing patchwork as well as being shown how to use traditional methods of constructing used by such famous people as Jane Austen. If you have some items of clothing or soft furnishing, which you are loath to part with for sentimental reasons, the patchwork skills will allow you to upcycle these items into something new and special.

Identifying and practicing construction of a variety of patchwork techniques
Analysing and establishing methods of constructing a wide variety of traditional and contemporary patchwork blocks
