In this course you will learn how to make different dishes by using different cooking methods and the safety factors of each method. Why it is good to eat more healthily and how we could improve our lifestyle by doing this.
You will make a different dish each week.
By the end of the course, I will be able to:
Know Basic hygiene rules in the kitchen
Select ingredients and make a meal
Prepare ingredients
Be aware of safety measures using the utensils and cooker
Serve a meal
Be aware of safety factors using different methods of cooking
Use different cooking methods
What syllabus will I follow?
2 separate units accredited by Open Awards
Using Cooking Skills 3 credits and Make a Meal 3 credits. Entry Level 3
After doing this course you could go on to the level 1 Food Preparation and Cookery Skills or other cooking courses we have at the centre.
